-gotten a new nephew--Congrats, Rich and Am!
-taken all but two tests of the first year of medical school (next one's tomorrow)
-given all but two tests of the first year of teaching high school (last day for students is Wednesday)
-gone on two field trips (to the Getty and UCLA)
-played in a Young Womens softball tourney--those girls are a blast!
-finished participating in and watching "Savior of the World," put on by our stake
-watched the NBA playoffs and lamented at the Lakers success
-scrapbooked like crazy in order to hopefully finish in time to get the flat-rate book deal at winkflash.com (but if I don't get it done, the sale will probably come around again, so I guess it'll be okay)
-seen Angels and Demons (instead of going to the beach, since it has been all cloudy and gross)
-woken up from a thunderstorm at 3:00 a.m. (no one told us about this "June Gloom" business--what's up with that?)
-not been able to fall asleep thanks to wasted neighbors who like to play Rock Band all night long--the joys of apartment living :) (It hasn't been that bad; I am exaggerating a little.)
-gone to an Angels vs. Mariners game
-made Keebler Grasshopper cookies milkshakes
-learned that eating nuts and doing Yoga is good for you (that's what Michael's test is on tomorrow--not just that, but that's part of it)
-and bought two boogie boards from a ghetto little "dollar" store in Rancho. We had been looking for boogie boards for a while, but they are $40 each or so. These are supposed to be big enough for adults--we'll see--and they are supposed to not completely fall apart, at least not the first time we use them--we'll see--but the price of six bucks each was irresistable.

No one has mentioned the "June gloom" because it is not normal! We are loving it... it will get plenty hot all too soon. :-) And yes, hooray for dollar stores--our favorite is the 99c Only stores, which usually have pretty good stuff.
I keep thinking how silly it is that we haven't seen each other yet! Of course, your husband is in med school and mine has never been home either... but we should do Sunday dinner sometime or something!
You guys always seem to be having lots of fun!!! Congrats to being an auntie!!! I sure wish I could see their blog... it's private and I'm not invited along with a lot of others... :( how sad!
I had forgotten to add Michael b-day to our Family calendar this year. Thanks to Grandma for reminding us. Hope you do something fun for his special Day. You are really enjoying the CA. LIFE... Heard you'll be home sometime this summer. YEA!
Sounds like you are staying busy! And having lots of fun! And what a rockin deal on those boogie boards- can't wait to see some pics of you using them!
