The incredible St. Louis Arch--Gateway to the West
Hooray! We are no longer sitting in a car for 30 hours! :)
What a stud.
We put the camera on the ground to take this--that is how tall the arch is. Crazy!
We went to Joey B's on the Landing in a little area next to the Arch. Apparently Rachel Ray made it famous. Anyway, they have their "famous" wings. A little hot, huh Chris? :)
Trying St. Louis style pizza. Okay, so we like regular old Papa John's better, but it was still fun to try this super thin crust pizza with provel (provolone + mozerella = provel) cheese. It was kind of like pizza on a saltine.
On the brick street on the landing--everything seemed so old. Not like not kept up, but just older buildings than we have out west. Kind of cool.
Yep. It's Samuel Clemens (a.k.a. Mark Twain). My students loved him! (Me, too.)
On the elevator pod thing up to the top of the arch--it shakes a little when it's going around the corners. Kind of freaky. These are our scared faces.

Wyoming is also very pretty, but we only were in part of it. 
South Dakota--we missed Mt. Rushmore, but we saw tons of signs for it.
Missouri State Line--I missed Iowa's sign because it was nighttime when we passed through.
