Our Life is a Zoo. Literally.

A good gorilla--he's been going strong on this trick for a week or two now.
Gorilla, monkey, fish, and cow--one of the first times he's done cow and monkey by himself! Yay! :)

It's not just Darwin's animal noises making life chaotic right now. Michael has one rotation left until he graduates ("Can I get a 'BOO-yeah?!") and we find out next week if and where we matched for residency. The whole process of residency applications, interviews, and decisions on the rank order list have taken up much of his final year of med school, and have been large contributors to making our life a zoo for the past few months. And now, we're about to find out what the results are of all of Michael's hard work, all of Darwin's patience, and all of my pulling my hair out. :) Wish us luck! We'll keep you posted when we find out what is the plan.

In other news, Darwin got in a fight with the driveway. He scraped up his eye a bit. It doesn't look like much, but it was a significant tumble downhill and on rocky cement.

Mommy's favorite jammies! And see that hoop in the background? Darwin's cousins passed it on to him because he loves it. It was really cute. Darwin didn't know it was his yet and I brought it in to his room at night. When he woke up in the morning, like usual, the first thing on his mind was milk and then oatmeal for breakfast. Then, and only then, he could play. He walked to his room and saw the hoop and got all wide-eyed to come tell me. I was across the hallway and he kept coming out of his room shouting, as if to say, "Hey!! Did you SEE this?!" And then going back in to shoot a couple hoops. He LOVES it! Thanks, Ace and Scooter! (And Auntie Tam!)

We built a fort for FHE. Darwin loved running in and out of it and throwing himself on the couch and pillows. It was super fun! We tried to read scriptures in there, but he was way too rambunctious. Who could blame him? All I wanted to do was play in the fort, too. :)
Tami and Scooter visited us for a day date in Tacoma. We planned to go to a museum. We pulled into the parking space close to the rear entrance, got the kiddos ready to go in their strollers, and paid the parking fee. Then we went to the door (which was about 3 yards from where we paid to park) and went, "Hm. How 'bout that? The museum is closed today." Smooth move, Anita--I forgot to look up its hours. Woops. Lucky we had such easy-going company. We made the most of the beautiful weather and took the tour de Bridge of Glass and the waterfront instead. It was so fun to have them come over! :)
