You Might be a Redneck If . . .

We had a wonderful Independence Day with an early morning flag raising put on by my brother's old BYU Mail Services boss, Brad. He is great and he makes the 4th great for everyone else, too. It was nice to have that time to really think about the blessing it is to live in the U.S.A.
After that, we had waffles, courtesy of Rich and Am, with my mom's strawberry freezer jam (DELISH!) and whipped cream, of course. We went for a bike ride up the canyon, which was nice because it wasn't too hot to begin with, and up the canyon was even cooler. Don't get me wrong: it was, by no means, "cool" (temperature-wise), but it was a fun ride. And we BBQed with Rich and Am and watched the fireworks in their backyard (where the picture was taken).

For those of you who were wondering, this is what Michael's hair looks like after a little over an hour of bike riding with a helmet. (We know you were just dying to find out.)

And then, the best part was, when we woke up the next day it was Saturday! (Again, since Friday really felt like a Saturday!) We got to go to Monica's wedding; Michael taught her mom on his mission to Argentina. She married a missionary from Michael's mission. Michael really enjoyed seeing his mission buds, and I enjoyed figuring out what it means if you call another missionary your "hijo," or if you say a missionary was "born." We went to The Mayan with Ryan Weaver--Julianne, we were talking about how great you are and we miss you and want to see you and Sam, too. :) And, though I think he is home by now, Ryan missed you, too. Just thought you should know you are loved. :)

So, that is about it. The end for today. Thanks for looking! :)

Yay, thank you for posting some wedding pictures! Ryan got in a bit of trouble for not even taking the camera with him that day...but you have redeemed him! What a cute couple of hubbies we have, eh?

I'm so glad Ryan got to meet up with you for lunch, he said it was so nice to see you guys. Wish I could've come!
