Don't get me wrong: we are absolutely LOVING California! This is yet another post that I meant to do but didn't before we left Utah. Here is what we love about Utah.
1) The People. We met, reunited with, worked with, played with, and served with so many awesome people in Utah. And having family around was the best. We miss you all. (Michael wants to give a shout out to "Sports Camps" and the "office culture.")
2) BYU Football Season. We are mourning the loss of The Mtn (or at least mourning the loss of seeing all the games). If anyone has any helpful hints for us in this department, we'd both be very appreciative . . . especially for the UW game. :) Go Cougs!
3) J Dawgs, Sub Zero, Cafe Rio and Costa Azul, etc. We didn't really go to these places a ton, but now we have no idea what's good.
4) Being able to work out outside at pretty much any time of day.
5) The Dollar Theater. Enough said.
6) The mountains and the canyon trail.
7) Macey's. Cheap groceries.
8) Arches National Park. Spectacular. If you haven't gone and you are still going to be in Utah, you should go.
What do you love about Utah? :)

If you are up for splurging for TV, DirectTV carries the MTN...if you get their base package ($30/month) plus their college sports package ($12/month)...but you can get that college sports thing for JUST the months of football season. Dan's trying to convince me it's worth it, but I'm pretty cheap. :)
I love that I feel safer here, like my purse isn't going to be ripped off in the Wal-Mart parking lot, that I can forget a toy or something at a local park and it will still be there the next day...just the general sense of honesty that I think exists here more than it does in other areas.
Don't even get me started because my list is currently very long :) But some of the things include:
-No humidity
-It cools off at night
-The beautiful mountains
-Reasonable summer temputatures (I've lived in Phoenix and Dallas the last two summers, Utah has reasonable summer tempuratures)
-No fireants, cockroaches, or scorpians
-being close to family
-the BYU/college life atmosphere
And I'm so excited because in 9 days we are mocing back! Hooray!
