Amid Board studying, we do find/make/steal a little time to get out and enjoy the Seattle summer. Tami & Co. invited us to go on a 4th of July hike with them at Boulder River, so Darwin and Michael donned their matching hats and camo shorts and off we went. What a wonderful way to celebrate America, by enjoying the beauty of its land with family. Of course, the celebration wouldn't have been complete without the awesome American-made truck we rode in and the sweet American rock tunes we were jamming to. :) Nor would it have been complete without a BBQ and backyard/cul-de-sac fireworks to finish off the day. Thanks, guys! We had such a nice day.
One funny thing was when our bro-in-law got talking and grabbed the "BBQ sauce" to season his burger. When it streamed quickly out of the bottle, he first had a glimpse of annoyance and frustration, and then he realized what had happened and just started laughing. The BBQ sauce was in a similar bottle right next to where the Henry Weinhardt's cream soda was. Ha. Michael is still cracking up about it. And it's almost been a month. Ha. :)

| Darwin wants to eat Michael's lunch. I think he's going to be an aggressive basketball player someday. I predict he'll lead his team in steals. |

| Still trying. |

so funny that we did that same hike on 4th of July too! At least the waterfall looks like the same one we did. It's a great hike. Too bad we didn't see you guys.
That Darwin has good "stealing" genes from his Daddy. He'll lead the league someday. What a blast we had with you guys! (can I get a copy of the snoring kids on the way home?)
