Travel Tip #2 and Cedar City

Travel Tip #1 was never posted on the blog, but basically, tip #1 is this. When you're traveling with a baby and you smell something funk, find a gas station (or other location) to pull over, check, and potentially change him where the workers are not going to kick you out of the public restroom if the job is so big it takes longer than 5 minutes. Just saying.

Travel Tip #2: Baby's reach may be longer than it appears. Keep potentially hazardous items out of baby's reach. (Hangers qualify as potentialy hazardous; while seemingly harmless, it appears they have a terrorizing effect on a baby who feels they are in a hanger cage.)
On the way to Cedar City.

More news from Cedar City: last week it snowed. Twice. At least. So Darwin got to try out all the beanies we brought him, including this cute one Aunt Tami made!

One day I lost my phone in the crack of the hide-a-bed. We took off the cushions and while we were working on getting it unstuck, Darwin worked on the cushions. Michael made it into a game; he jumped ont he cushions and Darwin got bounced. He was laughing so hard the whole time and we had a cushion-less couch for a few hours. :)
Bubbles!!
I just love this one. His little chin, his face, how he sometimes sucks on his bottom lip, all just cracks me up.

After picking Daddy up from work. Michael's just finishing up (maybe just finished by the time this gets posted) a two-week emergency medicine rotation here. His hours were noon to midnight on the days he had to work (3-4 days/week). Since the hospital is only two minutes away, Darwin and I dropped him off and picked him up, which meant that, even though Darwin was asleep, he was extra cuddly when Daddy brought him in from the car each night. So sweet.

Daddy helped Darwin re-discover the horsey ride. Thanks for the idea, Grandma W! :) He LOVES it! I love how he squats and bounces up and down when he's waiting for the "ride" to start again.

You may recognize these killer dance moves from the video in the last post--the head shake (this is hilarious! He gets all serious and focused and shakes his head back and forth, and then when he's done, he smiles and laughs like crazy); the squat; Pound It (where he pounds his hands on the couch over and over).
